Is Harmonium Haram? Whatever music that is played in a singular gathering or makes a believer sin is forbidden, but the playing of Harmonium or any instrument whatsoever in a manner that either praises SWT or reminds believers to be in the right relationship with God is not.
The music itself is not unlawful; it seems to be God’s gift, and everything He created is extremely beautiful, and music is not exempted. It is created by God. Dawud AS danced according to the Tanach and played the harp, hence, why would something that has been for a while now turn bad all of a sudden?

Is Music Haram in Islam according to Quran?
The Qur’an is beautiful because the Almighty Allah wrote it with rhymes and rhythms, invariably meaning that he loves it. He loves rhymes and rhythms and the sounds created by words; He even said the Holy Qur’an must be recited with beautiful and pleasing sounds.

Music is created by God solely for praising him and bringing believers together right before him; any activity outside this is Haram.

What Kind of Music is Allowed in Islam?
No Instrument: strings, drums, woodwind, brass, piano, etc. is haram, except it is played or accompanied by immoral lyrics, creating wild sexual urges, triggering masturbation, addiction, drug abuse, fornication, or any other sinful act. Surah Anbya says “…and We caused the mountains and the birds to join with David. They would praise God with him.” Music and musical instruments are meant to give God praise and make believers know more about God.
Conclusively, music is a beautiful thing created by God, therefore, musical instruments, such as Harmonium, are halal, but Haram if it is used for immoralities, to sexually arouse the opposite sex or it is played within two sexes.
